About the Recipe
At the center of this recipe is tempeh, one of the more nutritious (and tasty) vegan proteins on the market. Tempeh’s origins are Indonesian, where it’s been made for centuries. Soybeans are fermented into forming a cake-like structure; when grilled or sautéed, tempeh has a chewy texture (unlike tofu).
- Our tempeh is sautéed with Chef Ralf’s special salt sprays: King of Salt Beer and King of Salt Sweet & Peppery Asian. The final flavor is complex and unusual, and the texture has a strong bite.
- Large cloves of fragrant garlic are oven-roasted, then mixed with pureed avocado, freshly squeezed lemon juice, King of Salt Lemon, and garden-raised mint.
The final result is a very light-tasting recipe that’s packed with nutrients, proteins, and flavor, for a satisfying vegan dish.
